1. Graphic Workshop Professional 5 Revision 2

Graphic Workshop Professional 5 has been updated. This release:
- Adds a Find in Browser feature. Select Find In Browser from the
right-click menu of a Graphic Workshop browser window and you'll be
looking at a field to enter a search key. Quickly locate and step
through each file in your current browser that matches your key.
This is first of the (entirely too many) features we wanted to
implement under the version 4 architecture, and couldn't.
- Adds a new filter to the Filter window in View mode. Check out
Light Box. It turns digital photographs into eyecatching color
halftones.
- Fixes a number of minor issues with the initial build of e-Paint
UltraLight - 'specially the ones that made the tool palette lose
its mind under some builds of Windows.
- Addresses an number of user interface and run-time issues in
Graphic Workshop itself... mostly having to do with the step up to
version 5.
- Improves the Properties window in the crop function.
- Improves the GWS Camera screen capture to allow it to snag a
variety of unconventional windows that used to fox it.
- Fixes a minor bug in the Halftone filter.
- Fixes a bug in the toggled zoom feature of the View window.
- Updates the documentation.
- Implements our work-around for the Microsoft installer limitation
that hitherto required each previous release of Graphic Workshop to
be uninstalled before an update could be installed. This release of
Graphic Workshop Professional 5 can be installed right over the
previous one - it will in fact automatically uninstall the previous
software as part of the install.
While we're just tickled with how well this worked in house, we are
aware that some third-party install managers and security
applications meddle with the software installation process, and in
so doing might break our clever innovation. If you encounter any
issues with installing this release of Graphic Workshop, please let
us know what happened.
We hasten to add that you'll still need to click on the Enter Your
Registration Key button in the opening window of the newly updated
Graphic Workshop Professional 5 to handle validating it. Assuming
that you allowed Graphic Workshop to save your key to disk last time,
this will involve clicking on Next several times and then closing the
"thank you" window.

If you registered or upgraded a registration for Graphic Workshop
Professional 4 on or after May 1, 2013, you’re welcome to a free
upgrade to Graphic Workshop Professional 5.
If you registered or upgraded a registration for Graphic Workshop
Professional 4 prior to May 1, 2013, you can upgrade to Graphic
Workshop Professional 5 for half the cost of a new single-user license.
When you first run Graphic Workshop Professional 5, it will check to see
if you have a registration for Graphic Workshop Professional 4 on your
system. If it finds one, it will display a window to tell you which of
the foregoing upgrade options is applicable. Click on the Upgrade button
to visit our web page and request or order an upgrade.
The upgrade window can subsequently be accessed through the Help >

2. Announcing PNG MNG Construction Set 5 (Second Notification)

PNG MNG Construction Set 5 has been released.
We've refined the internal architecture of PNG MNG Construction Set
to make it faster, more memory-efficient and better able to take
advantage of the functionality of Windows 7 and Windows 8.
While most of the seriously cool changes embodied in PNG MNG
Construction Set 5 are "under the hood," users of the latest release
will notice that it's noticeable quicker, especially for functions that
call for significant system resources, such as building animations.
The updated architecture will also allow us to add new features to
PNG MNG Construction Set that were impractical or genuinely impossible
under version 4.

WHAT'S NEW
This release features some visible changes as well:
- The Crop window has been refined, with a better user interface and
the addition of a Properties window to allow the crop dimensions to
be set numerically.
- The animation driver has been rewritten to make its timing more
accurate... which is to say, way more accurate than the animation
timing of most web browsers.
- The color management in Animation Wizard has been improved.
- PNG MNG Construction Set requires less memory to run, which will
make it and anything else running under Windows quite a bit
speedier, especially on systems with limited system resources.

PLUGINS
All the animation plugins for PNG MNG Construction Set have
been upgraded to run with PNG MNG Construction Set 5.
If you have registered animation plugins for a previous release of
PNG MNG Construction Set, your existing registration keys are still
valid. You'll just need to download the version 5 installers for the
plugins in question.

4. Run Alchemy Mindworks Software on a Macintosh - Updated
(Second Notification)
_______________________________________________________________________
Macintosh computers are cool and elegant and as fashionable as a
hand-crafted designer salad with holographic radishes. Unfortunately,
only about seven or eight percent of the personal computers in the
known universe run OSX.
That Macs cost about three times what a comparable Windows system would
beat up your credit card for could to some small degree account for
this.
As much as we'd like to rewrite Graphic Workshop, GIF Construction Set,
The Ultimate Screen Clock and the many other popular Alchemy Mindworks
applications to be one with Macs, it's not likely to happen any time
soon.
This doesn't mean that you can't run our software on your Mac. however.
Read our updated guide to installing the no-cost open-source Wine
compatibility library on your Macintosh, and thereafter having
access to a vast wealth of Windows software, including most of ours.
You won't even need to buy a license for Windows.
We too were shocked when this worked.
