Pagan Daybook 5 Revision 3 _______________________________________________________________________ Pagan Daybook 5 has been updated. This release: - Updates the texture rendering engine to make it quicker, and to fix a bug in the texture generator that could crash Pagan Daybook. - Adds resizable File Open windows. You can now make them as big as the universe itself - if you have a larger-than-normal monitor - and they'll stay that way between sessions. The File Open window in the Personal Days editor is the one you're most likely to have encountered. - Updates the observance database. - Addresses a number of user interface issues. - Updates the validation logic to address some occasional hiccups that could manifest themselves during updates. You'll notice that it now displays an additional window after you complete the validation of this update. Fear not - it's a one shot deal. - Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software developers never really stop meddling with. - Updates the documentation. Please visit: http://www.mindworkshop.com/pagan.html#download to download Pagan Daybook 5 ........................................................................ If you're still using Pagan Daybook 4, we invite you to upgrade to the current software and enjoy all the new and enhanced functionality it offers. As of this writing, upgrades to Pagan Daybook 5 are still available for half the single-user registration cost - $14.99. Please visit http://www.mindworkshop.com/upgrade.html to upgrade. _______________________________________________________________________ 2. Graphic Workshop Professional 5 Revision 6 (Second Notification) _______________________________________________________________________ Graphic Workshop Professional 5 has been updated. This release: - Adds pin-able favorites. You can pin pictures from Graphic Workshop's browser windows to your Favorites galleries - a colored push pin will appear in the thumbnails of pinned pictures. Access your Favorites galleries by selecting Favorites from the Graphic Workshop File menu. Perhaps not surprisingly, there's an extensive discussion about the new Favorites technology in the Reference document. - Adds resizable File Open and Save As windows. You can now make them as big as the universe itself - if you have a larger-than-normal monitor - and they'll stay that way between sessions. The Save As window in the View window is the one you're most likely to have encountered. Adjusting the size of one of the Save As windows within Graphic Workshop itself will adjust the File Open and Save As windows in all its ancillary applications, such as GWS Camera Screen Capture, e-Paint UltraLight, Resource Extractor and so on. Once you resize one of the File Open or Save As windows within Graphic Workshop, its new size will be remembered between sessions. - Fixes a number of problems with the Fractals and Textures engine, some of which could crash Graphic Workshop. The others just created really nasty textures. - Updates the Web Gallery window to fix a bug in the JPG writer, remove ART support - in that none of the current web browsers seem to like it anymore either - and address a number of metrics issues. - Fixes several issues in the Search function, and updates the tool bar tips. - Fixes a problem in Resource Extractor that could cause it to crash or display weird pictures when it was confronted with unusual Bitmap resource types. - Fixes a number of cosmetic and user interface issues in GIF Construction Set UltraLight. Please visit: http://www.mindworkshop.com/gwspro.html#download to download Graphic Workshop Professional 5. ........................................................................ If you're still using Graphic Workshop 4, we invite you to upgrade to the current software and enjoy all the new and enhanced functionality it offers. As of this writing, upgrades to Graphic Workshop 5 are still available for half the single-user registration cost - $22.49. Please visit http://www.mindworkshop.com/upgrade.html to upgrade. _______________________________________________________________________ 3. For a REALLY, REALLY Limited Time, Bookware Registration with e-Books _______________________________________________________________________ We've received a substantial number of requests of late to accept the purchase of the e-book editions of Steven William Rimmer's novels as bookware registrations for Pagan Daybook, The Ultimate Screen Clock, Font Wrangler and Calendar Wizard. We've also received several messages of regret from readers who missed this offer the first few times it ran, several few months ago. We've decided to give it another shot, and this time, the bookware registration options include all of Steve's books. Please see: http://www.mindworkshop.com/ebookware.html for the complete tale. Be sure to read the entire page before you start clicking on stuff. Note that this offer will turn to dust around the middle of next week, after which it will likely be heard from no more. _______________________________________________________________________ 4.
