     1. e-Paint 5 Revision 6
     _______________________________________________________________________


     e-Paint 5 has been updated. This release:


     - Fixes a problem that prevented the Open and Save As windows in 
       e-Paint from correctly setting the keyboard focus in the file name 
       field. Users who like to open one of these windows and type blindly 
       into them have found this a bit irksome... and this included a few 
       of us.


     - Updates the Scrapbook. This includes fixing a small resource leak,
       improving the user interface and speeding up access to the 
       Scrapbook's graphics.


     - Improves up the e-Paint rendering engine for more exact drawing.


     - Speeds up the Texture engine.


     - Addresses a potential security issue. We seriously urge all users 
       of e-Paint to update to this release.


     - Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software 
       developers never really stop meddling with.


     - Updates the documentation.

     Animation Workshop 5 has been updated. This release:


     - Fixes a problem that prevented the Open and Save As windows in 
       Animation Workshop from correctly setting the keyboard focus in

       spurious temporary files, or, under some circumstances, to spend
       an inordinate amount of time trying to do so. 


     - Improves the timing of the View window.


     - Improves the rendering engine.


     - Addresses some text metric issues in Text objects when they're
       confronted with weird-beard fonts.
 

     - Improves the Watermark function.


     - Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software 
       developers never really stop meddling with.      


     - Updates the documentation.
