     1. PNG MNG Construction Set 6 Revision 6
     _______________________________________________________________________

PNG MNG Construction Set 6 has been updated. This release:

     - Updates the compression library that reads and writes PNG and MNG
files. This addresses a potentially security issue.

If you're running PNG MNG Construction Set, you really want to update
to this release pretty much immediately.

It also fixes a few memory leaks.

     - Updates the compression library in the PNG import library for
Animation Wizard, for the same security issue.

     - Addresses a number of issues in the Favorites window.

     - Improves the Export to GIF color management.

     - Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software
developers never really stop meddling with.

     - Updates the documentation.

You can download PNG MNG Construction Set 6 from:

         http://www.mindworkshop.com/pngpro.html#download

     2. Presentation Wizard 6 Revision 3 (Second Notification)
     _______________________________________________________________________

IMPORTANT: Due to what appears to be an issue with the software
installation logic under some builds of Windows, this update for
Presentation Wizard may not correctly uninstall earlier versions.

To preserve your sanity and wind up with the correct installation of
this software, we strongly recommend that you uninstall your existing
Presentation Wizard through the Windows Control Panel -> Programs and
Features applet before you download and install this update.

If after you install the update the About window of Presentation
Wizard is still inhabited by a reptile, something went terribly,
     terribly wrong.

Presentation Wizard 6 has been updated. This release:

     - Addresses a problem with the Pointing Cursor option whereby the
cursor could disappear when it hovered over buttons under some
builds of Windows if you or one of your close relatives owned a
cat. Actually, the part about the cat is a guess at best. Still,
       it's fixed now.

     - Updates the compression library for Presentation Wizard and its
document files to address several memory leaks and a potential
       security issue.

     - Fixes a number of minor user-interface issues in the page editor.

     - Speeds up the runtime decompression logic, which will result in
Presentation Wizard's documents opening in less time if they
include a lot of large compressible data objects.

     - Changes the iconography of the About window. The change will be
bearly perceptible, and while we should be ashamed of that last
statement, we should be still more ashamed that we're not.

     - Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software
developers never really stop meddling with.

     - Updates the documentation.

     4. Attention Windows 10 Users (Second Notification)
     _______________________________________________________________________

We've become aware that Alchemy Mindworks's version 6 software running
under Windows 10 can become unregistered if Windows 10 performs a hidden
major upgrade, such as the Threshold 2 build that began rolling out late
     last year.

In that Windows 10 is somewhat less than wholly forthcoming as to what
it's doing when it downloads and installs updates, having your software
forget it's been registered can be a bit of a surprise.

This issue will only appear in relatively rare instances wherein the
Alchemy Mindworks software in question doesn't successfully figure out
what Windows has done behind its back.

     We're working on this one.

In the event that you unexpectedly find yourself confronted with the
Registration window, please accept our apology for the problem. Click
on Enter Your Registration Key and step through he Registration Key
window just as you did when you first installed the software.

The Registration window should thereafter go away and stay there...
unless Windows experiences any further large-scale changes, which we
understand won't occur any time soon.

A potential side effect of all this is the appearance of an error
message in the Registration Key window which asserts that "This key is
already registered." Should you encounter this one - and again, it's
decidedly rare - please click on the Support button and tell our staff
what happened. Be sure to quote the error message text. We'll reset
     your account immediately.
