a Kindle tablet as well... and somewhere to plug in its charger... and
possibly a comfortable chair... perhaps some decent red wine... and a

1. Pagan Daybook 7 Revision 4

Pagan Daybook 7 has been updated. This release:
- It has come to our attention that earlier builds of Pagan Daybook
could crash and potentially destabilize Windows or other software
running under it.
This problem is a serious concern for users of Windows 10, and can
theoretically appear under earlier releases of Windows.
The update addresses this issue.
If you're running Pagan Daybook 7, we urge you to download and
install this upgrade immediately.
If you're running an earlier version, this would be a REALLY good
time to consider upgrading.
Please note that we've extended the half-price upgrade path to
Pagan Daybook 7 for users of version 4, 5 and 6 software
this week. If you see a message at our upgrade page to the effect that
the reduced-price upgrades are only available to users of version 6
and 7, you can safely ignore it.
The upgrade link appears below.
- Adds support for MP3 music to the Music window. Play your favorite

Darkmatter Is Now In Print!!! - Take Two

Well... this is embarrassing...
It has come to our attention that due to some issues with Amazon's
print-on-demand book facilities, Steve's novels haven't actually been
available in print for the past two weeks or so.
This situation has now been addressed.
We'd like to extend our apology to everyone who went looking for books
and found nothing but crickets and error messages.

Steven William Rimmer's classic espionage thriller Darkmatter is now
available in paperback, through the thaumaturgy of Amazon's print-on-
demand books.
The Amazon print edition is unabridged and undoes all manner of
iniquities wrought upon the earlier small-press versions of Darkmatter.
Should you not have encountered this technology previously, print-on-
demand does pretty much what it says on the box. When you order a copy
of Darkmatter through Amazon, a digital press prints one book, just
for you.
Remarkably, the production quality of print-on-demand books is if
anything better than that of commercial mass-market fiction. In
addition, your book will have been manufactured a few days before you
receive it, rather than having been stored for months in a warehouse
in Duluth.
The production costs of print-on-demand books being relatively low,
we've been able to use really nice paper, large trade-size pages and
big, readable type.
Because these books are sold trough Amazon, you can enjoy free shipping
with a Prime account, or if you buy enough other stuff to reach their
free shipping threshold.
Finally, print-on-demand means pretty much zero waste. Every copy of
Darkmatter that gets printed will actually be sold. By comparison,
traditional publishing could see three quarters of the books that were
manufactured ultimately being "remaindered" and destroyed.
