Graphic Workshop Professional 12 Revision 15

<http://www.mindworkshop.com/gwspro.html>

Graphic Workshop Professional 12 has been updated.

In this release:

  * *Memory Leak:* A decidedly pernicious memory leak in Graphic
Workshop Professional's folder interface under some configurations
of Windows has been stomped. Left to its own devices, it could crash
    the application.

We'd like to urge all users of Graphic Workshop Professional to
update to this release as quickly as possible.

  * *WebP:* The WebP library interface has been improved. In addition,
the current library version number can now be found in the Credits
list of Graphic Workshop Professional's About window. The current
    release is 1.2.2.

  * *Print Dodecahedron:* Several cosmetic issues and a bug that
prevented the dash mode setting from working correctly under some
builds of Windows have been nailed.

  * *Selected Size:* The status pane at the bottom of Graphic Workshop's
application window now displays the total size of all the selected
files in a browser, as well as the number of selected files.

  * *Print Contact Sheets:*The Contact Sheet print function has been
refined, with better graphics and a live image sample pane for users
    of Windows 10 and better.

  * *Prompt Before Overwrite: *The Prompt Before Overwrite window has
been updated so it no longer shows a filler graphic for its
thumbnails if the files involved are really large. It also corrects
an issue which could cause it to display the same thumbnail for new
and existing files in some situations.

  * *Delete:* The Delete prompt window has been updated so it no longer
shows a filler graphic if you delete a very large file... as long as
you're running Graphic Workshop under Windows 10 or better. It will
display a thumbnail of the first selected graphic if you have
Graphic Workshop delete multiple documents in a batch.

  * *Get Information:* The Get Information window has been refined so
it's quicker, and displays thumbnails even if it's confronted with
    really large graphics.

  * *Catalog:* The Catalog window has been updated to use live previews,
and to fix a number of cosmetic and rendering issues under some
    builds of Windows.

  * *Window Thumbnails:* All the windows in Graphic Workshop that
display thumbnails will open with even less delay, even for really
    large graphics.

If you haven't experienced Graphic Workshop Professional 12 as yet,
please see its initial release announcement

The Ultimate Screen Clock 12 Revision 4

<http://www.mindworkshop.com/clock.html>

The Ultimate Screen Clock 12 has been updated.

In this release:

  * *Memory Leak:* A decidedly pernicious memory leak in The Ultimate
Screen Clock's folder interface under some configurations of Windows
has been stomped. Left to its own devices, it could crash the
    application.

We'd like to urge all users of The Ultimate Screen Clock to update
to this release as quickly as possible.

  * <http://gra.mindworkshop.com/1072-002.png>*Pipes:* This release of
The Ultimate Screen Clock includes the Pipes digital clock style.
Formed of immense stainless steel pipe fittings, its digits very
nearly shake the earth every time they change.

The example above arguably fails to do it justice — click on it for
a larger clock. We should also point out that this graphic is an
animation, not actual software. It's decidedly unlikely that it's
    displaying the correct time.

The Pipes clock style set also includes an animated transition clock
in which its digits disassemble and then reassemble themselves every
time they change. You really need to see this one at work.

Unlike most releases of The Ultimate Screen Clock, all the styles
for the Pipes clock are included in the downloadable installers for
The Ultimate Screen Clock. You don't need to download and install
the additional styles library for this one.

  * *WebP:* The WebP library interface has been improved. In addition,
the current library version number can now be found in the Credits
list of The Ultimate Screen Clock's About window. The current
    release is 1.2.2.

  * *Select Clock Style:* The Select Clock Style windows in The Ultimate
Screen Clock have been updated with logic to disable the main clock
window while they're open, improving their performance. We hasten to
note that the clock will resume its correct time display as soon as
you close a Select Clock Style window.

    Font Wrangler 12 Revision 2

<http://www.mindworkshop.com/fontrang.html>

Font Wrangler 12 has been updated.

In this release:

  * *ZIP Archives:* An issue with the Font Wrangler ZIP archive manager
that could cause items in the font list to vanish if an alternate
drive for temporary files was selected has been resolved, defeated
and dispatched to an alternate universe.

  * *Memory Leak:* A decidedly pernicious memory leak in Font Wrangler's
folder interface under some configurations of Windows has been
stomped. Left to its own devices, it could crash the application.

We'd like to urge all users of Font Wrangler to update to this
    release as quickly as possible.

  * *WebP:* The WebP library interface has been improved. In addition,
the current library version number can now be found in the Credits
list of Font Wrangler's About window. The current release is 1.2.2.

  * *Default Beep: *The change folder sound that Font Wrangler plays...
perhaps not surprisingly when you change folders... has found itself
tasked with signalling the conclusion of a number of processes in
Font Wrangler and its ancillary applications. It has come to our
attention that the Windows sound that it references by default can
be really annoying in other contexts, and a substantial number of
Windows 10 and 11 users disable it... which also silences Font
    Wrangler.

Should you find yourself thus afflicted, you can now copy any short
WAV file sound to the Alchemy Mindworks configuration data folder —
see the Configuration document in Font Wrangler's manual for
assistance in locating it — and name said file Notify.wav to have it
serve as Font Wrangler's default noise.

  * *Performance: *Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that
software developers never really stop meddling with.

  * *Documentation:* Updates the documentation.
