<p>GIF Construction Set Professional 9 has been updated.

<li>Updates the <b>WebP</b> functionality to address
a few performance issues, and to nail several
initial bugs. The Export to WebP feature now creates
more attractive animations for source documents with
transparency.<br>

<li>Enhances <b>Animation Wizard</b> to improve its
color management. It's a ceaseless quest.<br>
<br>
</li>
<li>Adds more intuitive <b>mouse wheel support </b>to
several of the windows in GIF Construction Set that
include lists. Just roll the wheel to scroll the
list in question, even if your mouse pointer isn't
anywhere near it. <br>
<br>
</li>
<li>Updates GIF Construction Set so it will appear in
the Windows Explorer or File Explorer <b>Open With</b>
window for GIF files. <br>
<br>
</li>
<li>Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues
that software developers never really stop meddling
with.<br>

<li>Updates the documentation.</li>

eldritch forces and cosmic scope of... actually, we
have no idea what it evokes, but it looks really
cool. <br>

The reduced still images of Filaments to your left
don't really do the actual clocks justice. You need
to see this one live and on your desktop. <br>
<br>
Filaments comes in six colors and two sizes. The
Large size is epic.<br>
<br>
Note that you'll need to download and install the
extra styles library for The Ultimate Screen Clock
to access all the Filament style options.<br>
<br>

<li>Adds more intuitive mouse wheel support to most of
the windows in The Ultimate Screen Clock that
include lists. Just roll the wheel to scroll the
list in question, even if your mouse pointer isn't
anywhere near it. This makes the style selection
windows get up and dance.<br>

<li>Fixes a few cosmetic bugs in the validation
window.<br>

Graphic Workshop Professional 9 has been updated. This

<li>Adds progress bars to the <b>GIF and WebP
animation windows</b> to assist you in following
the action as an animation plays.<br>
<br>

<li>Adds a <b>Crop</b> option to the File menu of the
Graphic Workshop <b>View </b>window. Crop your
images directly from within View, rather than saving
them to temporary files are bouncing them around the
Windows clipboard.<br>
<br>
</li>
<li>Adds a <b>Film Grain filter</b> to the View mode
Filters window, to make your start-of-the-art
digital photographs look retro, vintage or
sufficiently convincing to fool people into
believing you haven't aged over the past forty
years. If you're too young to know what film grain
is, there's an explanation in the Reference section
of the Graphic Workshop Manual. (We couldn't make
something like this up...)<br>
<br>

<li>Adds a handler for <b>JFIF</b> files. It has come
our attention that in some contexts, JPG files can
appear with the file extension .JFIF. Graphic
Workshop now interprets these as conventional JPG
documents.<br>
<br>
</li>
<li>The Get Info window for <b>WebP documents</b>
will now tell you whether they contain still images
or animations. Look for the word Animation in the
Comments field for the latter.<br>
<br>
</li>
<li>Fixes a bug in the <b>Graphic Workshop Window
menu</b>'s application list which previously could
prevent Alpha Paint from opening correctly when it
was called from within Graphic Workshop, under some
builds of Windows.<br>
<br>
</li>
<li>Addresses a number of issues in the<b> file
association</b> links introduced in the previous
update. When you right-click on a file that Graphic
Workshop or one of its ancillary applications knows
how to open and select Open With, the appropriate
software will appear in in Windows Open With menu
and Open With window.<br>

<li>Fixes a problem with the Graphic Workshop<b> Crop
window</b> that could cause it to momentarily
display any application or desktop elements
appearing under Graphic Workshop when it closes.<br>
