Not Commonly Downloaded Warning

Depending on your current version of Windows and how much of its security you've left enabled, you might encounter a warning to the effect that the Alchemy Mindworks software you've just downloaded is "not commonly downloaded."

This one's a bit confusing if you're not expecting it.

As with Windows' "Smart Screen," this is a reputation score. If you attempt to download software that relatively few people have downloaded previously, Windows will protest your trusting nature. This doesn't indicate that there's anything wrong with the installer in question — merely that it's new.

The warning will look like the one to your right.

In the event that you encounter this warning, click on the three dots to the right of the warning message. Select Keep from the menu that appears. Windows will permit the download to conclude, and you should be able to install your software without further issues.

Should you also be disposed to selecting Report This File as Safe from the menu in question, we'll be exceedingly grateful.
