     1. Presentation Wizard 5 Revision 3
     _______________________________________________________________________

Presentation Wizard 5 has been updated. This release:

     - Adds Right-click Menu objects to Presentation Wizard documents.
Create right-click menus that users of your documents can interact
       with.

See page three of the example presentation that installs with
Presentation Wizard for an example of the right-click menu object in
action. You'll want to right click therein for the best results.

     - Speeds up the alpha rendering engine.

     - Fixes a troublesome resource leak.

IMPORTANT: If you're still using Presentation Wizard 4, we urge you
to consider upgrading to Presentation Wizard 5. Doing so will resolve
the aforementioned resource leak, and prevent it from sending
Presentation Wizard... and possibly Windows itself... into a dark
nether-world from which none ever return. You have to hate it when
       that happens.

     - Speeds up the File menu history.

     - Improves the animation timing.

     - Fixes several memory leaks in the document runtime.

     - Addresses several user interface issues throughout the application.

     - Updates the documentation.

     - Fixes a number of issues that appeared during the upgrade to
       version 5.

You can download Presentation Wizard 5 from:

         http://www.mindworkshop.com/prspro.html#download

If you registered or upgraded a registration for Presentation Wizard 4
on or after June 1, 2013, you’re welcome to a free upgrade to Animation
     Workshop 5.

prior to June 1, 2013, you can upgrade to Presentation Wizard 5 for
half the cost of a new single-user license.

When you first run Presentation Wizard 5, it will check to see if you
have a registration for Presentation Wizard 4 on your system. If it
finds one, it will display a window to tell you which of the foregoing
upgrade options is applicable. Click on the Upgrade button to visit our

     2. Calendar Wizard 5 Revision 2 (Second Notification)
     _______________________________________________________________________

Calendar Wizard 5 has been updated. This release:

     - Adds thumbnails to the File menu history, so you can remind yourself
what your calendars looked like before you open them. See the
discussion of File Menu Thumbnails Files in the Opening and Saving
Documents section of the Reference document of the Calendar Wizard
Manual for assistance with configuring this feature... or disabling
it, should you ultimately decide that it's a tool of unclean spirits
       or liberal politicians.

     - Improves a number of aspects of the aforementioned File menu history
       feature.

     - Fixes a troublesome resource leak.

IMPORTANT: If you're still using Calendar Wizard 4, we urge you to
consider upgrading to Calendar Wizard 5. Doing so will resolve the
aforementioned resource leak, and prevent it from collapsing
space-time in upon itself and destroying the universe as we know
it... which is likely something you'd rather not be blamed for.

     - Implements our work-around for the Microsoft installer limitation
that hitherto required each previous release of Calendar Wizard to
be uninstalled before an update could be installed. This release of
Calendar Wizard 5 can be installed right over the previous one - it
will in fact automatically uninstall the previous software as part
       of the install.

While we're just tickled with how well this worked in house, we are
aware that some third-party install managers and security
applications meddle with the software installation process, and in
so doing might break our clever innovation. If you encounter any
issues with installing this release of Calendar Wizard, please
       let us know what happened.

We hasten to add that you'll still need to click on the Enter Your
Registration Key button in the opening window of the newly updated
Calendar Wizard 5 to handle validating it. Assuming that you allowed
Calendar Wizard to save your key to disk last time, this will involve
clicking on Next several times and then closing the "thank you"
       window.

     - Fixes a bug in the PNG import library that could crash the File
Open window or the application if a grey-scale PNG file were selected.

     - Improves a number of elements in the calendar rendering engine.

     - Fixes several minor bugs in a variety of user interface windows.

     - Fixes a number of additional issues that appeared during the upgrade
       to version 5.

     3. Graphic Workshop Professional 5 Revision 5 (Additional Notification)
     _______________________________________________________________________

Graphic Workshop Professional 5 has been updated. This release:

...was something of an experiment. Graphic Workshop has been
extensively optimized to maximize its performance under Windows 7 and
Windows 8. The result of all this refinement, stealth and treachery
has been a measurable performance improvement across the entire
application. It's quicker and has a smaller memory footprint.

We've been impressed with how well this has worked - it's cool on any
platform, but especially when it's running on older, slower systems.

While Graphic Workshop still runs under Windows XP and Vista, should
you be feeling retro, its current persona may suffer a slight
performance hit if it's confronted by antique builds of Windows.
     Time marches on.

     In addition:

     - Graphic Workshop's View window now defaults to showing oversized
pictures centered, rather than starting in their upper left corners.
You can disable this by unselecting Center Oversize Images In View
in the Setup window if you prove not to like it.

     - Updates the e-Paint UltraLight rendering engine and fixes a really
       nasty resource leak.

     - Fixes a number of cosmetic issues in GIF Construction Set UltraLight.

     - Fixes a number of cosmetic and performance issues in Montage Builder
       UltraLight.

     - Fixes a bug in GWS Camera which could cause it to grab the wrong
screen area in some... admittedly unlikely... circumstances.

     - Updates Resource Extractor to allow it to deal with even more weird-
beard resource types that turn up under Windows 8.

     - Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software
developers never really stop meddling with.

     - Updates the documentation.

     4. Surprised to Hear From Us?
     _______________________________________________________________________

If this is the first posting to the Alchemy Mindworks Update List
you've seen of late, you're not alone.

It has come to our attention that several large commercial e-mail
providers have installed black hole spam blockers of late... that block
     way more than just spam.

There's a complete discussion of this issue at:

         http://www.mindworkshop.info/alchemy-mindworks/about-your-e-mail/

You're receiving this posting because we've sent it through a different
IP address. This said, the fundamentally broken design behind many
black hole spam traps means that they'll likely block this address as
     well, in time.

If our mail to you is being blocked, chances are other messages you'd
like to receive are too. It's hard to know when you're not receiving
     your e-mail.

We urge all our readers to contact the providers of their e-mail
solutions, determine whether their mail is being subject to one of
these brute force spam traps and request to opt out.
