1. Graphic Workshop Professional 6 Revision 3

Graphic Workshop Professional 6 has been updated - the improved
architecture has allowed us to implement some enhancements and new
functionality that have hitherto been pretty much impossible.
This release:
- Expands the Archive Manager. Right-click on a ZIP or RAR archive and
you'll be able to access its contents. Aside from just extracting
files from an archive, the Archive Manager can now apply all of
Graphic Workshop's batch processes - such as file conversion and
resizing - to some or all of the graphics therein.
You can manage the pictures in a ZIP file without having to unZIP
them to a folder on your hard drive.
- Addresses an issue in the View window that could cause the keyboard
focus to get lost after using the Filters function, under some builds
of Windows. When this happened, any keyboard shortcuts from the View
window's menus disappeared into an alternate reality until a mouse
click got the attention of the window again.
- Allows the View and Crop windows to hide the Windows task bar if you
have the auto-hide option enabled in the task bar's Properties. You
might want to read that one again if it sounded like two Martians
discussing what to order for lunch.
If the View window was maximized and Windows' task bar was set to
automatically hide itself - and then appear when your mouse cursor
approached the bottom of the screen - the task bar could appear and
interfere with the horizontal slider and the zoom toggle at the
bottom of the View window.
The View window will now prevent the task bar from appearing in these
circumstances.
We hasten to add that the interest of the View window in the task bar
only manifests itself if the task bar auto-hide option is on, and that
this feature can be disabled through Graphic Workshop's Setup window.
Finally, note that you can still summon the task by from the View
window with Ctrl-Esc.
- Adds a Paste to Crop item to Graphic Workshop's Edit menu. Paste any
compatible graphic on the Windows clipboard directly to Graphic
Workshop's Crop window.
- Fixes a inconsistency in the Search window's progress monitor.
- Fixes the slider in Slide Show window called from Search, which
previously did pretty much nothing under some builds of Windows.
- Adds a folder history list to the Archive extract window.
- Fixes the View and Slide Show taskbar buttons in the Search and
Favorites windows, that could prove to be largely non-functional
under some builds of Windows.
- Fixes a bug in the JPEG import library for Graphic Workshop's
ancillary applications - e-Paint UltraLght, Montage, Camera and
so on - that could crash the application in question when the
JPEG library was confronted with certain pathological data.
- Fixes a resource leak in the browser refresh logic.

UPGRADES
If you registered or upgraded a registration for Graphic Workshop
Professional 5 on or after January 1, 2015, you’re welcome to a free
upgrade to Graphic Workshop Professional 6.
If you registered or upgraded a registration for Graphic Workshop
Professional 5 prior to January 1, 2015, you can upgrade to Graphic
Workshop Professional 6 for half the cost of a new single-user license.
When you first run Graphic Workshop Professional 6, it will check to see
if you have a registration for Graphic Workshop Professional 5 on your
system. If it finds one, it will display a window to tell you which of
the foregoing upgrade options is applicable. Click on the Upgrade button
to visit our web page and request or order an upgrade.
The upgrade window can subsequently be accessed through the Help >
Upgrade Manager > Upgrade from Previous Version item of Graphic Workshop
Professional 6's menu bar.

PLUGINS
All the format plugins for Graphic Workshop Professional have been
upgraded to run with Graphic Workshop Professional 6.
If you have registered the RAW Digital Camera plugin for a previous
release of Graphic Workshop, your existing registration key is still
valid. You'll just need to download the version 5 installer for this
plugin.

IMPORTANT: If you have plugins installed under Graphic Workshop 5 and
you plan to uninstall Graphic Workshop 5 to replace it with the new
Graphic Workshop Professional 6, please be sure uninstall all your
version 5 plugins, and then uninstall Graphic Workshop 5.

2. Announcing Calendar Wizard 6 (Second Notification)
_______________________________________________________________________
Calendar Wizard 6 has been released.
We've refined the internal architecture of Calendar Wizard to make it
faster, more memory-efficient and better able to take advantage of the
functionality of Windows 7, 8 and 10.
While most of the seriously cool changes embodied in Calendar Wizard 6
are "under the hood," users of the latest release will notice that
it's notably quicker, especially for functions that call for
significant system resources, such as managing large graphics.
The updated architecture will also allow us to add new features to
Calendar Wizard that were impractical or genuinely impossible
under version 5.
- Calendar Wizard 6 is fully compatible with Windows 10.
- Fixes an issue with the JPEG import library that could cause it to
crash Calendar Wizard on some source images.
- Improves the metrics of the calendar layout engine.
- Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software
developers never really stop meddling with.
- Addresses an installer issue that prevented the application from
installing correctly in a user-selected folder under some builds of
Windows.
- Updates the documentation.
