     1. GIF Construction Set Professional 6 Revision 7
     _______________________________________________________________________


     GIF Construction Set Professional 6 has been updated. This release:


     - Updates the Favorites window... quite a lot. This release fixes 
       several fairly nettlesome bugs, improves the user interface and adds 
       an option to have double-clicking on a Favorites item open the 
       corresponding animation as a GIF Construction Set document, and close 
       the Favorites window.

       The latter behavior can be disabled in Setup, if you prefer the 
       original response to double-clicking.


     - Improves the color management logic in Animation Wizard and Combine.


     - Fixes a potential user interface issue in the View window.

    
     - Improves Reconstruct - aside from its use in the Reconstruct item in 
       the Block menu, it turns up in various other functions.


     - Addresses a potential security issue - if you're using GIF 
       Construction Set, we urge you to upgrade to this release pretty
       much immediately.


     - Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software 
       developers never really stop meddling with.      


     - Updates the documentation.

     2. e-Paint 6 Revision 5 (Second Notification) 
     _______________________________________________________________________


     e-Paint 6 has been updated. This release:


     - Adds a Favorites window. Pin your frequently-used pictures to 
       Favorites, and thereafter access your best graphics with a few
       clicks. See the discussion of Favorites in the Reference document
       of the manual for the whole tale.


     - Nails a bug that prevented the toolbar buttons from displaying tool
       tips under some builds of Windows.


     - Addresses several potential problems in the Filter interface that
       could have crashed e-Paint if the universe was in a mood.


     - Fixes a problem with the Text tool that saw it becoming confused if
       it was confronted with badly-formed third-party TrueType fonts... the
       kind you download from higher-order dimensions of space-time.


     - Addresses a potential memory leak in the Undo function.


     - Improves the performance of the rendering engine - this pretty much
       never stops.


     - Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software 
       developers never really stop meddling with.      


     - Updates the documentation.

     3. Windows 10 (Additional Notification)
     _______________________________________________________________________


     Alchemy Mindworks applications earlier than version 6.0 don't run under
     Windows 10. 

     Depending on the specific software in question and your operating 
     system configuration, all sorts of really unfortunate things would 
     happen in this environment.

     The current version 6.0 Alchemy Mindworks applications have been 
     rewritten and thoroughly tested to get along with Windows 10.

     We'd like to take this opportunity to urge all the users of earlier
     versions of our software to consider upgrading to version 6.0. You'll
     enjoy:


     - Ongoing enhancements and new functionality.

     - Bug fixes and security upgrades.

     - No nasty surprises at such time as you install Windows 10.


     NOTE: While the half-price upgrade path from the now somewhat ancient
     version 4.0 software has officially ended, we have extended the 4.0
     half-price window for the immediate future. 

     If you update your 4.0 Alchemy Mindworks products, just ignore the 
     message at our update e-commerce page about the updates only being 
     available for version 5.
