     1. GIF Construction Set Professional 6 Revision 8
     _______________________________________________________________________


     GIF Construction Set Professional 6 has been updated. This release:


     - Fixes a problem in Animation Wizard that mangled the Files and 
       Selected Files panes if thumbnails were disabled.


     - Improves the performance and appearance of the Files and Selected 
       Files panes.


     - Addresses a potential memory leak in Animation Wizard. As this 
       could crash  GIF Construction Set and possibly affect other Windows 
       applications, we strongly recommend that all users of GIF 
       Construction Set upgrade to this version pretty much immediately.


     - Fixes a pathological case issue in the color management logic for
       Animation Wizard and Combine that could cause them to be presented 
       with poorly-optimized palettes when they were confronted with 
       nearly monochromatic source images, resulting in low-quality final
       animations.


     - Updates the Extract window to display its progress when it's
       extracting large numbers of images.


     - Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software 
       developers never really stop meddling with.      


     - Updates the documentation.

     2. e-Paint 6 Revision 6 (Second Notification) 
     _______________________________________________________________________


     e-Paint 6 has been updated. This release:


     - Refines (this being a euphemism for "fixes") a number of issues in the
       tool settings palette window. The most obvious visual manifestation of
       this will be the Font Name combo for the Text tool expanding to fill
       most of the available screen real estate.


     - Fixes (this being a euphemism for "refines," we suspect) a number of 
       issues with the Favorites window.


     - Both fixes and refines several lingering problems with the Scrapbook 
       window.        


     - Improves the performance of the rendering engine.


     - Addresses a potential memory leak in the rendering engine. As this 
       could crash e-Paint and possibly affect other Windows applications, 
       we strongly recommend that all users of e-Paint upgrade to this 
       version pretty much immediately.


     - Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software 
       developers never really stop meddling with.      


     - Updates the documentation.
