1. Technology #1 Plugin for GIF Construction Set 7 and PNG MNG

The Technology #1 Plugin has been updated. This release:
- Fixes a bug that could crash the Plasma Arc and Jacob's Ladder effects
if large size values were used.
- Addresses several memory and resource leaks.
- Generally speeds up the user interface.
- Addresses a number of issues with the rendering engine.
- Improves the usual GDI and performance things that programmers just
can't resist noodling with.
We recommend that all users of the version 7 Technology #1 plugin
download and install this update.

2. Text Effects #3 Plugin for GIF Construction Set 7 and PNG MNG

The Text Effects #3 Plugin has been updated. This release:
- Improves the text metrics for non-standard TrueType fonts.
- Fixes a bug that could crash the Plasma Arc effect if large fonts and
lots of text was used.
- Addresses several memory and resource leaks.
- Generally speeds up the user interface.
- Addresses a number of issues with the rendering engine.
- Improves the usual GDI and performance things that programmers just
can't resist noodling with.
We recommend that all users of the version 7 Text Effects #3 plugin
download and install this update.

2. Screen Saver Construction Set 7 Revision 2 (Second Notification)

Create epic Windows screen savers!
Screen Saver Construction Set 7 has been updated. This release:
- Addresses a number of issues that crept into the first release of
Screen Saver Construction Set 7... as software is wont to do.
- Modifies the registration logic to work around Windows 10's recent
updates, which have been randomly de-registering software when they
sneak silently onto your computer. The sudden appearance of the
"this key is already registered" message should be a distant memory.
- Updates UpToDate.
- Addresses several potential compatibility issues in the installer
script function.
- Updates the screen saver runtime.
- Addresses a number of user interface issues.
- Updates the graphic import logic.
- Addresses several theoretical security issues.
- Improves the validation logic for Windows 10 users.
- Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software
developers never really stop meddling with.
- Updates the documentation.

3. Graphic Workshop Professional 7 Revision 3 (Additional Notification)

Graphic Workshop Professional 7 has been updated. This release:
- Fixes a bug in the new combined Save As window that could prevent the
File Name field from getting the keyboard focus in some circumstances,
under some builds of Windows, in some quantum universes.
- Adds a thumbnail-based history list to the GWS Camera screen capture
to provide its users with a visual record of what's been snagged, and
a quick way to view and delete existing captures.
- Adds a Recent files list to the Graphic Workshop browser right-click
menu, to make it easy to re-use recently-opened documents. We hasten
to add that this feature has a fair number of less-than-obvious
options to improve its usefulness. We further hasten to add that if
you don't want Graphic Workshop to remember which files you've opened,
it can be disabled in Setup. See the section of the Reference Document
that deals with Browser Windows.
- For everyone who's asked for a keyboard shortcut for the Save function
of Graphic Workshop's View mode... open the Configuration window from
the Picture menu in View mode, enable Ctrl+Shift+S Shortcut For Save
and your wish shall be granted. We regard this one as something of a
power user option... assuming that "power user" is still a thing... and
as such, it defaults to being disabled. Once set, it will be remembered
between sessions.
- Graphic Workshop's EXE self-displaying pictures have been updated to
the latest Presentation Wizard runtime, which will make them quicker,
and addresses a few memory and resource leaks that beset their
ancestors.
- Graphic Workshop's SCR convert to Windows screen savers have been
updated to the latest Screen Saver Construction Set runtime, which
also makes them quicker and addresses a few memory and resource leaks
that beset their ancestors. It also enables Screen Saver Construction
Set 7's resolution-independent screen savers.
- Adds an option to GWS Camera to have the left Alt or Ctrl key capture
your screen, and the right Alt or Ctrl key summon the Setup window.
See the discussion of the Right Modifier Open Setup option. Note that
this feature is disabled by default, so it doesn't confuse the unwary.
- Addresses several theoretical security issues.
- Improves the validation logic for Windows 10 users.
- Addresses a number of user interface issues.
- Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software
developers never really stop meddling with.
- Updates the documentation.
We'd like to urge all the users of Graphic Workshop Professional 7 to
download and install this update... doubly so if you're running
Windows 10.

If you're still using one of the version 5 Alchemy Mindworks
applications, we invite you to upgrade to the corresponding version 7
software for half the new single-user license cost.
For example, you can upgrade to Graphic Workshop Professional 7
for $22.49.
Aside from adding new features and improved functionality to our
software, the version 7 upgrades are compatible with Windows 10.
Version 5 applications will not install or run under Windows 10.
The half-price upgrade from version 5 will be available until
December 31, 2016... after which it will be gone for good.
