1. Pagan Daybook 7 Revision 2
_______________________________________________________________________
Pagan Daybook 7 has been updated. This release:
- Adds dual-monitor support. Please see the discussions of dual monitor
systems in the Reference document of Pagan Daybook's manual.
- Updates the observance database.
- Addresses a number of issues that crept into the first release of
Pagan Daybook 7... as software is wont to do.
- Modifies the registration logic to work around Windows 10's recent
updates, which have been randomly de-registering software when they
sneak silently onto your computer. The sudden appearance of the "this
key is already registered" message should be a distant memory.
- Improves the performance of the texture generator for theme
backgrounds.
- Addresses an issue with the background logic in the Calendar window.
- Nails a potential security issue.
- Updates UpToDate.
- Addresses a number of user interface issues.
- Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software
developers never really stop meddling with.
- Updates the documentation.
You can download Pagan Daybook 7 from:
http://www.mindworkshop.com/pagan.html#download

license.

2. Announcing Voice Manager 7 (Second Notification)
_______________________________________________________________________
The Yamaha reface DX synthesizer is amazingly cool... among other
things because its voices can be reprogrammed to make it sound like
pretty much anything you can imagine.
In the event that you're not feeling very imaginative, there's also a
voice-sharing community from which to download buckets of fresh sounds
for it.
Alchemy Mindworks' Voice Manager will keep track of banks of
synthesizer voices, allowing them to be saved as permanent disk files.
It also embodies an intuitive voice editor, and numerous other tools
to make this instrument totally rock.
Voice Manager represents a bit of history for us - a similar
application was one of the first software products Alchemy Mindworks
created, back in the 1980s. (Please note that should you e-mail us and
ask if they really had computers back then, we'll dispatch a leather-
winged demon of the night to your digs before you've finished clicking
on SEND.)
If you play keyboards, we invite you to check out Voice Manager at:
http://www.mindworkshop.com/voxman.html
(Reface DX is a trademark of Yamaha Corporation. Alchemy Mindworks
has no business affiliation with Yamaha Corporation. The names reface
DX and Yamaha are used herein for descriptive purposes only.)

stomped.

4. LizardLand Is Now In Print!!!
(And now at Amazon Canada too...)
_______________________________________________________________________
Steven William Rimmer's biting satire LizardLand is now available in
paperback, through the thaumaturgy of Amazon's print-on-demand books.
Should you not have encountered this technology previously, print-on-
demand does pretty much what it says on the box. When you order a copy
of LizardLand through Amazon, a digital press prints one book, just
for you.
Remarkably, the production quality of print-on-demand books is if
anything better than that of commercial mass-market fiction. In
addition, your book will have been manufactured a few days before you
receive it, rather than having been stored for months in a warehouse in
Duluth.
The production costs of print-on-demand books being relatively low,
we've been able to use really nice paper, large trade-size pages and
big, readable type.
Because these books are sold trough Amazon, you can enjoy free shipping
with a Prime account, or if you buy enough other stuff to reach their
free shipping threshold.
Finally, print-on-demand means pretty much zero waste. Every copy of
LizardLand that gets printed will actually be sold. By comparison,
traditional publishing could see three quarters of the books that were
manufactured ultimately being "remaindered" and destroyed.
Please see:
http://www.stevenwilliamrimmer.com/lizardland.html
to enjoy LizardLand in print. Wise-assed dinosaurs and their profane
lawyer await you.
