1. e-Paint 8 Revision 2
_______________________________________________________________________
e-Paint 8 has been updated. This release:
- Adds cursor tips to the Eyedropper and Flood Fill tools to display
the numeric color value of the pixel under your cursor. This feature
can be disabled in Setup if you aren't into numbers.
- Fixes a memory leak in the Convert To logic.
- Addresses a bug that could cause e-Paint's document windows to flash
when they were resized under some builds of Windows.
- Fixes a Windows issue that could cause e-Paint's document windows to
appear disabled when some of the drawing tools were selected.
- Updates the Channels filter.
- Addresses several issues with the e-Paint Scrapbook.
- Improves the solid color selection buttons throughout the application
with a quick palette selection window - just hold down the Shift key
on your keyboard when you click to select a color to see it. There's
a complete discussion of this window and how it interacts with the
primary Colors window in the section of the Reference document that
deals with Color Selection.
- Adds assistance buttons to the initial registration key windows. Click
on the question marks if you discover yourself to be lost.
- Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software
developers never really stop meddling with.
- Updates the documentation.

2. Graphic Workshop Professional 8 Revision 4 (Second Notification)
_______________________________________________________________________
Graphic Workshop Professional 8 has been updated.
This release:
- Adds browser tab histories. This one is unspeakably cool.
As you navigate between folders with Graphic Workshop's browsers, your
most recent destinations will be collected in the right-click menu
for each browser tab.
You can subsequently edit the list of destinations, and lock the list
to prevent further changes if you like.
The result of all this thaumaturgy and cunning is that you can quickly
configure each browser tab to access multiple folders... rather than
keeping lots and lots of browser windows open.
There's a complete discussion of how the browser history features
work in the Reference document of Graphic Workshop's Manual, in the
section entitled Browser Windows.
We hasten to add that browser histories can be disabled if you'd
rather Graphic Workshop didn't keep a record of your travels.
- Adds loadable browser tab sets. This one's unspeakably cool with its
own frozen penguin.
Graphic Workshop can save your current set of browsers - along with
all their configuration settings - and subsequently open them later.
You can program Graphic Workshop with as many unique sets of open
browsers as you like, changing between them with a few clicks.
Unusually well organized users of the software can create multiple
desktop shortcuts, each opening Graphic Workshop with a specified
set of browser windows.
There's also a complete discussion of how the loadable browser tabs
work in the Reference document of Graphic Workshop's Manual, in the
section entitled Browser Windows.
- Vastly speeds up the Identify Mystery File function... as long as the
mystery file in question turns out to be a JPEG, PNG or GIF graphic...
by skipping ahead and checking for common file types first.
- Adds an option to the File Time item of the browser right-click menu to
quickly set the time and date of the file in question to the current
system time without any interaction. Hold down the Ctrl key when you
select File Time to make this happen.
- Fixes a bug in the drag and drop management that could cause thumbnails
for dragged files to be rebuilt rather than copied under some
circumstances.
- Updates the EXIF editor.
- Adds assistance buttons to the initial registration key windows. Click
on the question marks if you discover yourself to be lost.
- Updates the View mode Filters library.
- Addresses some color selection issues in Presentation Wizard UltraLight
and Montage Builder UltraLight.
- Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that software
developers never really stop meddling with.
- Updates the documentation.
