PNG MNG Construction Set 11 Revision 3
PNG MNG Construction Set 11 has been updated. In this release:
* *JPG Security:* Updates the library that reads and writes JPG
documents for Screen Saver Construction Set to address several
potential security issues.
We'd like to urge all the users of PNG MNG Construction Set to
updateto this release immediately.

* *WebP:* Updates the library that reads and writes WebP documents for
PNG MNG Construction Setto address several potential security
issues. It also improves the image quality of WebP graphics.
* *Supercompressor: *Fixes a bug that could result in wholly black
animations if the Palette Compression option was enabled in PNG MNG
Construction Set's Supercompressor window under some configurations
of Windows.
* *User Interface:* Updates the typographic controls in the Caption,
Text Overlay and Watermark windows to make them more intuitive and
generally cooler.
* *****Paint:* Adds a Select Paint button to PNG MNG Construction
Set's Setup window, allowing the default external paint application
to be selected without recourse to editing PNG MNG Construction
Set's configuration data.
Click on Select Paint in the Display tab of PNG MNG Construction
Set's Setup window.
The Help button in the Select Paint window will explain
everything... trust us.*

Announcing Screen Saver Construction Set 11
(additional notification)
Screen Saver Construction Set 11 has been released. We've further
refined its architecture to make it more memory-efficient, and to better
utilize the resources available under Windows 10. (We hasten to add that
it still performs admirably under earlier builds of Windows, all the way
back to Windows XP if you're feeling retro.)
Among the new features and enhancements to Screen Saver Construction Set
11, you'll find that it:
* *JPG Security:* Updates the library that reads and writes JPG
documents for Screen Saver Construction Set to address several
potential security issues.
We'd like to urge all the users of Screen Saver Construction Set to
update to this release immediately.
* *WebP:* Updates the library that reads and writes WebP documents for
Screen Saver Construction Setto address several potential security
issues. It also improves the image quality of WebP graphics.
* *Image Libraries:* All the libraries that read and write graphics
for Screen Saver Construction Set have been reviewed to ensure that
they're secure and totally bulletproof. There being some really
disagreeable people under many of the rocks of the Internet, we urge
all the users of our software to keep its security elements up to date.
* ***Paint:* Adds a Select Paint button to Screen Saver Construction
Set's Setup window, allowing the default external paint application
to be selected without recourse to editing Screen Saver Construction
Set's configuration data.
Click on Select Paint in the Files / Display tab of Screen Saver
Construction Set's Setup window.
The Help button in the Select Paint window will explain
everything... trust us.
* *Edge Support:* Screen Saver Construction Set will now find the
Microsoft Edge web browser to display its documentation.
* *Animation Editor:* Fixes a bug in the animation object editor
Preview window, which could render animation backgrounds incorrectly.
* *Alternate Paint:* If you have registered the current releases of
Alchemy Mindworks e-Paint, Alpha Paint or Graphic Workshop with
e-Paint UltraLight, hold down the Ctrl key when you click on a Paint
button in Screen Saver Construction Set to call for one of these
alternate paint applications. The alternate paint selection logic
will call e-Paint for graphics without alpha transparency, and Alpha
Paint for graphics that have alpha transparency.
* *Performance: *Addresses a number of GDI and performance issues that
software developers never really stop meddling with.
* *Documentation:* Updates the documentation.

A Further 10 Cool Features

Graphic Workshop Professional 11 is rich with functionality... some of
which you might not know it has. Here are ten leading-edge features you
can access in Graphic Workshop.
* *Social Media: *Quickly format your pictures for posting to
Facebook, Twitter and other popular social media platforms. The
Social Media window offers a rich palette of effects and options — a
tiny sample of which can be seen to your right — and the option to
save your favorite effects for future use.
* *Windows Thumbnails: *Select the Zoomed Thumbnails View mode in a
Graphic Workshop browser's right-click menu, and then select Zoomed
Windows Thumbnails from its Thumbnail sub-menu. You'll see quick,
high-resolution thumbnails drawn from Windows' internal image cache.
Enable one of the Pre-cache options to improve your browser window's
performance.
* *Favorites:* Right-click on a graphic in a Graphic Workshop browser
window and select Pin to Favorites to add your selected picture to
your current Favorites list. Open Favorites from Graphic Workshop's
File menu to access a gallery of your pinned images.
* *Web Check:* Run Graphic Workshop's Web Check ancillary application
against your web site to quickly locate broken links, missing
graphics and other difficult-to-spot errors that visitors to your
pages will unquestionably notice almost immediately .
* *Identify Mystery Files:* Double-click on any graphic in a Graphic
Workshop browser — if it's stored in a format other than what its
file extension claims, Graphic Workshop will determine its true
nature and offer you the opportunity to automatically rename it.
* *Secure Delete:* If you disable the Recycle Bin option in Graphic
Workshop's file deletion prompt and enable Secure Delete, the files
you consign to oblivion will be overwritten multiple times with
randomized data, making them impossible to recover... even for a
prematurely-bald fourteen-year-old hacker with a backward baseball
cap and sixteen fingers.
* *Animation Workshop UltraLight:* Create professional banners,
advertisements and other on-line animations from multiple objects
with a few clicks with this simplified edition of our
shockingly-sophisticated professional animation manager. Animation
Workshop UltraLight is included with Graphic Workshop Professional 11.
* *Edit EXIF:* Right-click on any JPG or PNG graphic in a Graphic
Workshop browser window to edit its EXIF metadata... or to add EXIF
blocks if they're not present. Review and fine-tune the hidden
information for your pictures and, perhaps more importantly, remove
location data from the pictures you upload and share to prevent the
world's bottom feeders from knowing where you live and where all
your stuff is.
* *Print Posters:* Select the Print Posters option from the Image menu
of Graphic Workshop to have your pictures tiled over multiple sheets
of paper. Follow the instructions for cutting them out and sticking
the tiles together to create perfect, seriously huge hard copy that
can be seen from across the street or... if you have lots of
toner... low Earth orbit.
* *Screen Capture Captions:* Enable the Caption option in the GWS
Camera screen capture application to add captions to the captures
you create. Screen capture captions can be generated automatically
using GWS Camera's lucid macro language, or you can be prompted for
them.
